Romeo after the Capulet feast

  The end of Act 1 at the capulet feast Romeo is left with knowing about Juliet and has romantic feelings for her. As they showed in the scene they both like each other but have no idea about each other. So with that i think a song that best describes their relationship at this moment is ”All I Need” by Radiohead. I pick this song because most of the song is saying “ You are all I need” which in the last scene to me i saw it as the only thing Romeo wanted was to be with Juliet and have more time with her. In the song it also says “ I’m in the middle of your picture.” I pick this lyric because in one of the last scenes there is the Romeo, Juliet and the nurse. I see Romeo as the middle piece because Juliet will always be with the nurse. So that’s why i think that song resonates with Romeo at the last scene.

Assimilation What is assimilation? Assimilation is the process of changing your identity to “fit it”. You are making yourself seem “acceptable and normal” to the dominant culture. People do this for many reasons To not get picked on, to feel normal, and many more situations. Assimilation affects students as well. Not every school is diverse so some kids don't feel like they can be themselves when no one around is like them. Assimilation can be harmful to some. The process of changing yourself so you can feel like other people can cause you to have an identity crisis just so you can have validation from the dominant group.

Final Debate Writing

My final thoughts on this assignment is that our debate made me see how Claudette and Jeanette could possibly be the best wolf girl. While collecting evidence for maribella it was nice to hear other peoples thoughts on how maribella is the best wolf girl. With my experience reading the book I found it interesting and liked how they separated the book into different stages. Now preparing for the debate was kind of all over the place but was a cool experience.
